Where latin dance meets structured learning
Colkemon is an online seminar platform dedicated to salsa and latin dance. We build courses around how people actually learn movement — through repetition, context, and peer exchange — not just video clips.

How Colkemon came to be
Background
Colkemon grew from a straightforward frustration: finding good latin dance instruction online meant either watching disconnected YouTube clips or paying for in-person workshops that required travel. Neither option worked well for dancers in smaller cities.
The platform was built to offer something in between — structured, topic-focused seminars with real discussion, feedback loops, and the kind of depth you'd expect from a live class. Salsa, bachata, cha-cha, and kizomba are each treated as distinct disciplines with their own technique logic, not bundled into a generic "latin dance" package.
Instructors on the platform are selected based on their ability to explain, not just perform. Teaching movement is a different skill from dancing it well, and that distinction shapes every seminar we publish.
-
1
Topic-first seminar design Each seminar addresses a specific technique problem — footwork timing, lead-follow mechanics, musical interpretation — rather than a general skill level.
-
2
Discussion as part of the format Participants exchange questions and observations during sessions. The back-and-forth is built into the structure, not added as an afterthought.
-
3
Regional reach, consistent quality Students from across Ukraine join the same sessions. The platform scales without compromising the seminar experience for anyone who attends.
